How Unique engaged its ambassadors to raise breast cancer awareness

Who is Unique?

The Unique Group is an HR service provider that combines three strong brands: Unique, Unique Career, and Express Medical. The Unique Group's broad knowledge and services platform offers clients a wide range of HR services as well as tailored expert advice for job seekers.

The goals

The objective was to encourage employees to move in a healthy way and make small gestures to raise awareness about breast cancer in their surroundings. They launched two community goals:

  1. Pink Beach. This goal challenged ambassadors to move in whichever way they wanted: walking, running, cycling, swimming, etc. The goal target was set at 2.800km. 

  2. Pink Challenges. This goal challenged people to complete ‘pink challenges,’ quite literally. With this tryout, Unique wanted to experiment with a more challenging and engaging objective to bring the community together.

In total, 39 community members participated, for a total of 4.206 km, thus completing 150% of the total.

Ambassify made it possible to include multiple disciplines within the Pink Beach goals. And this, by extension, made more employees feel included in the challenge, as everyone is dedicated to different forms of movement. 

Ambassify also offers the option of asking employees to submit proof of their submission, such as screenshots. Unique didn’t ask for it, opting for a free format and leaving employees the liberty to be honest about their submissions.

Pink challenges results

The goal of the Pink challenge was to have 50 completed challenges achieved, which was completed by 38%.

Thanks to the campaign itself, Unique received a lot of input and photos from the ambassadors themselves, which they then reused to raise awareness about Unique’s engagement with Pink Ribbon on social media.

Engagement results

Activation in May was significantly higher than in the previous five months, which was likely due to the goals and the buzz created around them. 

Although the overall number of interactions remained stable in the community, launching goals for the entire community did help to draw more attention to the ambassador program and bring employees together.
